Beverages/Bourbon Heritage Collection

Question
I have a complete set of the 750ml Bourbon Heritage Collection (with wooden display platform) that I bought in 1995 or so. It contains: IW Harper, Gold Medal, 15 y/o , WL Weller, Centennial, 10 y/o, Old Charter, Proprieters Reserve, 13 y/o, George Dickel, Special Barrel Reserve, 10 y/o, and Old Fitzgerald, Very Special, 12 y/o. None has ever been opened. I understand that several of these are no longer available. Do you think that this would be something that would be of interest to a collector? What do you think this would be worth?
AnswerHi Bruce
Distilled spirits like this don't really change much once they have been bottled--the level of alcohol is too high. So the good news is that these bottles should be perfectly good to drink. The bad news is that they haven't appreciated in value the way some fine wines do. I'd guess that this one might sell for $50 per bottle, so the total should be over $250 or so, maybe more, if it were sold at an auction. But you'd have to pay a commission to the seller, as well.
But the set itself may have value over and above the contents inside. Check with the guys at antiquebottles.com, to see if they list any similar bottles, or are interested in this one. You just might get lucky. WHile some of these products are no longer available, like the IW Harper, they haven't really reached rarity status on the collectible market.
Sorry I don't have more exciting news for you.
