bottle
please tell me all you can about these two bottles of
cognac. the courvoisier has a date 1889 when it won a award
in algeria the gagneur & co has an award date of 1933 thank
you for your time.

A note of explanation:  

1.  The dates of the awards have nothing to do with when the stuff was bottled.  I can't be sure from the photos, but these are certainly far more recent bottlings than 1889 and 1933.

2.  Distilled spirits like this don't change much over time, because the alcohol levels are so high.  So the good news is that they are perfectly good to drink, even now, many years after bottling.  The bad news is that they haven't changed much, nor have they appreciated in value the way some fine wines do.  

I would estimate these to be worth something like $40-50 each--not much more than a current bottling of the same product.
