Question

Brandy Terry
First of all, I must be up front about the fact that I am clueless about any liquor, needless to say this is why I am inquiring your superb knowledge. I have a bottle of Brandy Terry (that is the label on the back of the bottle. The Front label states... Fernando A. de Terry, Destilado de Vino, Puerto Ita Maria, Elaborado Espana. The front label also has two dates stating, Alexandria 1901 and St.Louis 1904. The glass bottle is tinted green with a screw on bottle top that has some kind of nipple looking thing with a white ball hanging from it coming from the opening of the bottle. It has a netting over the entire bottle. There is a paper label (intact) over the bottle top with a number stating:14 A 2 0146194. Can you tell me about this bottle, if it's worth anything, and maybe someone who would be interested in it????
Thank you!!!

Answer
Hi Jackie

Terry was once a major player in the Spanish brandy market..although the brand isn't as strong as it once was.  But this should still be very tasty brandy.  That said, distilled spirits like this don't appreciate with age the way some fine wine do.  The alcohol levels are too high.  SO yours should be good to drink, but it isn't worth much more than a current bottling.  I'd estimate it at about $40-50.

SOrry I don't have more exciting news for you.
