Question
Hello.   We recently came by a bottle of 1971 Beaujolais. Label says Marquisat, Beaujolais Villages, An Marquisat Depuis 1420, Pasquier Desvignes. Any information on this vintage? Thank you.

Answer
Hi Deborah

Beaujolais is a kind of wine that is really not meant for aging, even a few years.  This wine should have been drunk by 1973 or 1974, and is now certainly well past its prime.

Sorry that I can't give you better news.
