Question
This is an unopened bottle and I would like to know if there is any value to it or if it is still drinkable.

Answer
Hi John

This is quite a famous producer, but unless this has been stored perfectly, it is almost certainly way past its prime.  The great vintage of the 1970s was 1971...but even those are really getting old these days.

If it were mine, I would open it up on a special occasion...and I would have a backup bottle on hand, in case this was really over the hill.

I think it would be hard to sell on the auction market.

Sorry I can't give you more exciting news.
