Question
On the bottom of the bottle of Louis XII that I have it says 1927 which looks to be hand engraved. is that the year that it was bottled? If so what would that be worth?

Answer
Hi Alex

1927 is not the date that your bottle was filled, or any kind of vintage date, either.  It is the hand-numbered identity of the bottle itself!

And while it doesn't make this Cognac MORE valuable, it certainly speaks to the care and attention to detail.  These bottles regularly sell for $1700-$2000!

Hope that helps
