Question
Is there any value to this bottle of sealed, in-the-original-box, 1965 bottle of
Seagram's Crown Royal?  Its a Quart sized bottle.  Found it in my parents
house, was thinking about opening it for a party and someone mentioned
that it might actually be worth something...your thoughts on the subject
would be most appreciated!  All my best,
Stacey Lehrer

Answer
HI Stacey

In general, distilled spirits like this don't change much in the bottle--the alcohol levels are too high.  So the good news is that this is perfectly good to drink.  The bad news is that it won't have appreciated in value the way that some fine wines do.  This one would probably sell for about what a current release of the same product sells for today. I'd go ahead and drink it.

Sorry that I don't have any better news for you.
