Question
Hi Paul,
I just inherited a pretty cool family loom. it's a Courvoisier 1 Gallon (sealed)
bottle which sits in a wood stand on wheels that resembles a cannon when
paired. Can you tell me the history behind this item and it's value? Thanks,
Jeff

Answer
Hi Jeff

These were developed as marketing gimmicks in the 1970s... they appear on a regular basis on ebay and other such sites.  The last one I saw was priced at about $35.  I don'tknow if it sold.

That said, I think the liquid inside is probably worth more than that--about as much as a gallon of Courvoisier is worth today.  But Cognac doesn't appreciate in value with more age in the bottle.  If it were mine, I'd just drink it.

Sorry that I don't have more exciting news for you.
