Question
I have a 50+ year old unopened bottle of Queen Ann Scotch in the original box.  Any idea of the value?  And how would I go about selling it?  Thanks

Answer
Hi Debra

In general, distilled spirits like this don't change much in the bottle--the alcohol levels are too high.  So the good news is that this is perfectly good to drink.  The bad news is that it won't have appreciated in value the way that some fine wines do.  This one would probably sell for about what a current release of a similar product sells for today. I'd go ahead and drink it.

It's illegal for private individuals to sell alcoholic beverages in the USA, so you'd have to sell this through a licensed retailer or an auction house---and they would take a significant commission.

Sorry that I don't have any better news for you.
