Question

DOM Benedictine
Dear Paul,
An old Benedictine "DOM" didn't know the year.
Two labels: One is "DOM (B&B) LE Directour" and another is "B&B 40% alt/vol 750ml". Please comment, thanks!

Answer
Hi George

Distilled spirits like this don't change much over time, because the alcohol level is so high.  And that's also why they never vintage date them, either.  YOu will find that these products often list how long the wine was aged in barrel, but never in the bottle.

The good news is that your bottles should be perfectly good to drink.  The less good news is that they won't have appreciated in value the way some fine wines do.  I'm afraid these wouldn't sell for any more than a current bottling of the same product.

Sorry that I can't give you more exciting news
