Question
I have recieved a wine bottle made by Kastrup Homlegaard for Funen Wine Company LTD.  It has 4 handle looking sides but it is not a divided bottle it held Cherry Bandor de luxe Danish wine.  Is this bottle supposed to have a stopper and if so what does it look like (the stopper).  Is this bottle worth anything if so what and please answer in dollars and cents. What is a good web site to look at this bottle and stopper if there is one. Thank you

Answer
Hi Anita

This is a liqueur bottle from Denmark (Funen is an island there), and was a fortified wine made from cherries and sugar.  I am sorry that I don't know the exact type of stopper (it would have been some kind of cork) but I can tell you that it is not something that most people collect.  You can check with the guys at antiquebottles.com to see if they have any further information about it, but I'm estimating its value at under $25.

sorry that I can't give you more exciting news.
