Question
Hi,
I was wondering if you could help me. We have a very old bottle of 1969 Hennessy Bros D'or Cognac Baccarat Bottle. Its in a green velvet case. Its a beautiful bottle with a seperate glass numbered topper. I can not find out much about it. Can you help me with any information on it?
Thank you

Answer
This is great stuff--some of the best Cognac made.  But it's illegal for individuals to sell alcohol.
You'll have to work through a retailer or an auction house--and they often don't like to work with single bottles.
Either way, you'll pay a commission on the sale.
You might try trading it to a retailer for something you'd rather drink--but you have to sell at a big discount.
It's worth $500+, but it would be hard to get half that as a private citizen.

I'd suggest drinking it, or giving it to someone who would be really impressed.

Hope that helps
