I purchased a bottle of Bollinger RD 1979 from Vinatges in Mississauga Ontario Canada in 1988.  I have stored it on it's side in a cool dry place.  I turn the bottle half a turn every 6 months.  Could you provide me with some information on this wine including quality, lifespan and current worth?  Thank you

Just send it to me, and I will tell you exactly what it tastes like!  grin.  This is lovely stuff--although you don't have to turn the bottle, now that it's bee disgorged.  I would think it is pushing  the age limit just a bit, so I would drink it in the next couple of years...but it should have lovely rich toasty notes, fine bubbles, and great elegance.  This is a serious Champagne, and would pair well with pretty serious food, as well.  Value?  I'd guess at least $200 US...
