Question

Conac De Terry
Dear Paul,

I've read you answer following a question in 2007.
I've bought recently 3 bottles (among many others) of Conac De terry Centenario.

I believe the bottles are very old (some bottles of the collection where from the XIXth century) and maybe rare.

Could you please help me find out a little more on this ; do you have an idea of their quotation value ?

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Fred

Answer
Hi Fred

Distilled spirits like this are so high in alcohol that they don't change much over time, so they don't appreciate in value, much, either.  The good news is that they are almost certainly good to drink.  The bad news is that they won't have appreciated in value the way some fine wines do.  The older bottles I have seen have sold for under $100.

Unfortunately, these have not been very collectible oer the years.  You might check to see if the bottles themselves are worth more that the liqueur inside...and the really nice guys at antiquebottles.com can tell you that.

Hope that helps.
