Question
Hello,
I have a bottle of D.O.M Le Directeur, bottled by Benedictine S.A. Fecamp (France)

This bottle is sealed, and inside a plexiglass case, also with a Benedictine seal across the top. I can see an additional seal on the bottle that says "US Internal Revenue" and "tax paid" with a sequence of numbers printed.

Do you have any opinion on the worth of the item?
Thanks for your time,
Mindi

Answer
Hi Mindi!

The good news is that this is perfectly good to drink.  The bad news?  It hasn't appreciated in value the way some fine wines do.  Distilled spirits like this are so high in alcohol that they don't change much at all over time.  So your bottles are worth just about as much as a current bottling of the same stuff.

Sorry I can't give you more exciting news.
