Beverages/old sealed bottle of chivas regal

Hi thnk you for taking my question. My dads brother brought back a bottle of Chivas Regal from Ireland in 1973. It is still sealed and i want to get rid of it. It has "one quart" on the sticker on the neck. This is whats stamped in the bottom of the bottle- CHIVAS BROTHERS LTD ABERDEEN SCOTLAND A SC841 3 LIQUOR BOTTLE. It is the 12yr aged kind that is 86 proof.

Distilled spirits like this are so high in alcohol that they don't change much, for better or for worse, over time in the bottle. The good news is that yours is perfectly good to drink. The bad news is that it hasn't appreciated in value the way some fine wines do. This is worth just about what a current bottling of the same thing sells for today.
