Beverages/Moet White Star Label

Question
Hi. I cleaned out a garage and the owner gave me an old bottle of Moet. It looks pretty old but unopened and the barcode label is still attached. Could there be any value to this? Thanks!

Answer
Hi Robert

Non-vintage bubblies like White Star are made to be consumed when they are released, and they generally don't get any better with age.  And after a few years, they start to lose some of their charm and fruit.

All that is to say that I don't think there is any value here--best that you can hope for is that the wine is still somewhat pleasant.  CHill it down and give it a shot--and have a backup bottle on hand just in case.

Sorry I can't give you better news
