QuestionWe have been given a bottle of White horse white that has a sleeve that goes overe the top that has a date on it 1919. It was given to and old friend and who father in law had given it her when her and her husband had a local hotel. It has given it to us to raise funds for charity
AnswerHi Jan
I don't have great news for you. Because the alcohol levels are so high in Scotch. It doesn't change much, for better or for worse, once it's put in the bottle.
So the good news is that this is perfectly good to drink. The bad news is that it won't have appreciated in value the way some fine wines do.
This one is worth about what a current bottling is worth--and not a lot more.
But the bottle itself may be worth more than the liquid inside. Check with the nice people at antiquebottle.com to see if that's true.
Hope that helps.
