Beverages/Appraisal of old bottle of Rum

This is a very nice bottle of rum. I collect old Cuban rums like this one. I have the feeling that 1890 was simply a brand name and not an actual vintage date. A rum like this was most likely bottled in the 40s or 50s and would have accrued some collector value nowadays, in the hundreds of dollars. Please feel free to contact me.
