Question
This is the closest catagory to the topic of my question.  I bet you can help though.  What's the difference between apple juice and apple cider.  I'm referring to the cider you can buy at any grocery store, not the hard cider one hears about occasionally.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Juan

Answer
Dear Juan:

Simple answer?  There is no difference.  Some people distinguish between clarified juice (cider) and non-clarified juice (juice.)   Other people claim that cider is juice made from apples picked earlier in the season (!). Others say that if it is homemade, its cider, if it is store-bought, its juice.

Simple answer?  There is no difference!
