Question
Would a 1970 unopened, still sealed, bottle of Seagram's V.O. Canadian Whisky be worth anything; would it be OK to drink or does whiskey go bad?

Answer
Hi Jim:

Whiskey doesn't go bad--the alcohol level is so high that it really preserves itself pretty darn well.  But that also means that it doesn't improve with age in the bottle, the way some wines do.  Your bottle might get $50+ on ebay as a collectible...that's where I would try to sell it.

Or just drink it.  It should be pretty tasty.
