Question
I have an old unopened double bottle of B&B.  One side says B&B and the other says Benedictine.  Is there a way to check how old it is????and what is the value?

Answer
Hi Diane

There is no easy way to check the age of this bottle. Benedictine has been made for generations...and it is not a vintage dated product.  About the only thing you can do is contact the company directly and ask them what clues in the packaging can be used to date your bottle.

Having said that, liqueurs and distlled spirits don't change much with age in the bottle, because the alcohol levels are so high.  That means your bottle is quite safe to drink--but it also means that it hasn't appreciated much in value.  It would probable sell for only a few dollars more than a current bottling.

Sorry I can't give you more exciting news.
