I received a bottle of Cordon Rouge Brut Champagne by the G.H.Mumm & Co., Reims France with N.M. 3.921.422 on the front bottom right hand corner label.  Back label list sole agent for U.S.A. Browne Vintners Company, New York, NY.  Are you able to tell me the age of this bottle and if it is drinkable?  If there is anything else you can tell me about this bottle it would be great.   Thanks,

Hi Karen:

I can't tell you much, I am afraid.  Browne Vintners represented G. H. Mumm before the Seagram Classics Wine company did...and that would have been before about 1990.  But I don't know how much earlier this bottle was made.  You might try contacted Mumm directly--they do have a website with a English language version, and they are very nice people!
