I have a bottle of Courvoisier VS from 1969.  Is it worth much more than a current bottle?

Sadly, your bottle isn't worth much more than a current bottle.  While wines develop and change with age, the high alcohol content of brandy prevents this from happening.  Your cognac probably tastes pretty darn much like it did in 1975...and so it isn't really worth much more than a current bottle.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
