I was reading your answer about the value of Chivas Regal 1965 being only worth about 100.00. I have one that is unopened in a silver tin box.I hvae had it well over 30 years, no idea of how old it is. However, I was told they are worth much more than $100.00. Which is true? I am going to put it on Ebay but I have no Idea of the value.

Hi Robert

The packaging for your bottle may be worth a lot more money, but the whiskey inside isn't.  That's because distilled spirits are so high in alcohol that they don't change much in the bottle, for better or for worse.  It still should be perfectly safe to drink, but won't be any better than a current bottling.

BOttle collectors might pay more than beverage connoisseurs for this one.  Check with antiquebottles.com.
