Hello,

I have a friend who said to me that the Internet couldn't help him to find good deals on his favorite wine - Silver Oak - or at least anything better than the local shops. Can you tell me where you'd go to find great by-the-case wine pricing?

Dear Jim:

The internet is a great place to find deals on wines...but the one kind of wine that is hard to find is a wine that sells out every year.  And that's what Silver Oak does.  I don't think you'll find much on-line to help you get lower prices...since every bottle is sold.  

Now when a winery ( or a wine shop ) has too much of a wine that isn't selling, then you can get some great deals.  You can always try someone like K&L wines in San Francisco, or even winebid.com....but I bet their prices on Silver Oak aren't much better than anyone else's.
