Beverages/Worth of bottle of wine

Question
My father has a bottle of Chianti Gino from 1980 with a bottle neck around 2 feet long.  Is this worth anything?  It looks like nothing I have seen before.  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Deb

Sorry, but these bottles were never intended for long-term aging.  They were made as display bottles for restaurants, and the wine inside really should have been consumed within a few years of the vintage date.  As such, this one doesn't have much value to a wine connoisseur.  And there were so many of these made that I haven't seen a good market for them in the bottle collectors' market either.

Sorry to be the bearer of sad news.
