Question
are there any alcohols that gain value the longer you keep it?

Answer
Hi Crandel

Some fine wines do gain in value if they are aged in perfect storage conditions:  cool, dark, quiet cellars.  They usually are pretty expensive to begin with, and then gain in value.

But distilled spirits with more than 35-40% alcohol don't change much in the bottle, so they don't gain in value the same way. They do imprive with age in the barrel, but that happens long before they are bottled.

Hope that helps.
