Question
I was in Germany and had a drink that was somthing like ante or anti sec and have not been able to find it in the US. About an ounce was served in a large glass. You were to cover it with a coaster and shake then drink it. After you inhaled out of the glass and it left a very sweet taste in your mouth. Just wondering if I have the name wrong.
Thank you

Answer
I think you might be talking about anisette--and you can get this in a lot of versions: German, French, Italian, or Spanish.  It's primary flavor is licorice (or anise) and is quite delicious.  You can also try another fun trick with these--

Put one ounce of anisette in a tumbler, then pour in ice water.  The clear anisette will immediately turn milky...
