Question
word brandy comes from brandywine. true or false

Answer
Hi Sabir:

True--the origins of our term "brandy" come from the Dutch, who knew that to make brandy, you had to heat the wine very hot ( burn, or "brand" it ) and then cool it in a still.

SO the term was originally Dutch, Brandjwein, and we now shorten it to brandy!
