Question
I found a old unopened bottle of seagram's v.o. whisky and the year on the bottle is 1936. its 86.8 proof. I was wondering if it was worth anything?

Answer
HI Michael

Because of their high alcohol content, distilled spirits don't change much in the bottle, for better or for worse, the way wines do.  The good news is that this is still probably just as good to drink as it was when it was bottled.  The bad news is that it hasn't appreciated much in value, either.  It's probably worth under $50.

You might find that a bottle collector would pay more.  Check out antiquebottles.com for more information on that.  They have a lot of great people over there.

If it were me, I would save it for a special occasion and drink this with family and frieds.

Sorry I can't give you more exciting news.
