Question
hi, i have a bottle of 20 year old, un opened bottle of port. The writeing on the bottle says,"De olde Chamber port" and underneath that it says, " bottled for the NSW chamber of fruit and vegetable industries", then in smaller righting say,"to commemorate 200 years of the australian  frsh fruit and vegetable industry, 1788-1988. it also says limited release No. 0590. Could you please tell me if this would be worth anything.
Thank you

Answer
HI Shane

This isn't a bottle that would be sold at auction for a very high price, because it doesn't have the name of a famous producer on it.  I would estimate the value at something like $50-75 right now.

But that doesn't mean it isn't really tasty wine.  If it has been stored properly, it should be really lovely--rich, sweet, and very complex.  I would save it for a special occasion in the next couple of years, and open it up to celebrate something special with family or friends.
