Question
I have a full bottle of white horse cellar scotch lead sealed with state of illinois seal 1937 (this whiskey is 8 year old)  what would be the value of this item.  thank you   Dick

Answer
Hi Dick

Distilled spirits don't increase in value over time the way some fine wines do, because the alcohol levels are so high that very little changes inside the bottle.  They don't go bad--but they don't get any better, either.

Because of that, I would estimate that your bottle might be worth about $25, but not much more, to a connoisseur.

A bottle collector might pay more, but I am an expert in beverages, not bottles.  For more information on bottles, check out this site:

They have a lot of information, and some very nice people there. Hope that helps--and I am sorry I can't be the bearer of better news.
