Wondering the value of ...unopened, 12 ozs. ,produced by
soc.com.dosvinhos de mesa de portugal,ida. porto portugal"(this I took from the label) The bottle is green glass, about 8 inches tall and 5 inches wide.  The labels are not damaged and the front label had "Mateus" at the top with a scene below and "rose" "still wine" at the bottom.  The bottle is sealed in a silver wrap and the wine does not look to have evaporated.Any info. would be appreciate.  Thank you

This is a very light fresh pink wine from Portugal, and is quite famous.  It is one of the best selling wines in the world, and is nice with lighter foods such as chicken or lighter pasta dishes.  But this is also a wine that is at its best when it is quite young.  It should be drunk within a year of release--and it sounds as if this bottle is pretty old.  If it is, it will be tired and stale.  It has no value to collectors.
