Beverly Hills 90210/Song Search question behind the scenes on ODE TO JOY

Question
QUESTION: This was the episode where they went behind the scenes while taping Ode To Joy and at the very end they play this song and the lyrics are, "You say you want it like before/You thought about it, now you're sure...[Chorus] You remember me, and I'll remember you/And how hard you said you'd try/How you never thought you'd lie/But that's a lie/You don't know the meaning of goodbye." I've tried searching it, but I can't find it. Does anyone know what song this is and who sings it?   Its not Remy Zero...Trust me.

ANSWER: I've had this question before... Here is my question to you... Are you in the US? What network did you watch it on?  I know quite a bit about music licensing and there are certain issues when it comes to airing songs. I know for a fact that in the originally aired Special episode it was Remy Zero's Perfect Memory that played. However, it is possible they don't have clearance to use that song for any other network than FOX or perhaps any other point in time.

That being said, I can't be sure what song was used as I have never see that show with any other song at the end but Remy Zero's song.  If you give me more information hopefully I can track it down.

thanks!
Lauren

QUESTION: It was aired on Soapnet. The Remy Zero song was on that episode. But remember this was a behind the scene episode.

Are you in the states? I am and soapnet airs 90210 2x a day. They just started the season over.

Answer
Yes, i'm in the states. I watch the soapnet episodes too!  So the song you are talking about was at the very end, like during the credits?  I can't find it anywhere and don't remember the song off the top of my head. Have you tried searching for the lyrics?  I'm sorry I can't be of more help. This one is a stumper!

Expertise

I can answer any question dealing with all 10 seasons of the show (also the new 90210 if anyone needs that). If you are looking for songs, I can suggest to you right now that www.tv.com is a good source. If you can't find it there, then don't bother asking me b/c that is my source as well. I will be happy to explain in detail anything dealing with the characters or actors themselves.

Experience

Have all 10 seasons on tape and watch re runs every day.
