Why did Anthony Marchette kill Jack McKay?

Well.. I don't know if you've seen to the end of the series yet but Jack actually faked his death and is in the witness protection program.  But initially, Jack and Anthony's relationship didn't exist when he was first "killed"... then they wrote it in the storyline when they were in college which is why Dylan went and found Marchette. I'm not sure if they ever elaborate on why he was killed, basically i think Marchette wanted Jack out of the way b/c of business dealings gone wrong.  But then in the last season they show Steve and Dylan watching a Tv news report that shows a glimse of Jack. After Dylan investigates he finds that Jack is living in AZ with a new wife and child. Hope this wasn't too confusing!!
