i am a die hard brenda and dylan fan and have seen almost all the seasons but im having a little trouble with something from season 8 and 9.i know dylan leaves after toni dies but  there are two different occasions where it is mentioned that dylan and brenda are together . first is when dlyan's sister erica is spotted on the street and brandon and kelly call brenda about it. were they together then? and then when brandon and kelly were going to get married and kelly says she needs to take a trip or a break of some sort and brandon mentions she should visit brenda and dylan somewhere i think Hawaii. i know he comes back to BH in season 9 and ends up with Kelly at Donna's wedding in season 10, but were Brenda and Dylan together between season 6 and 9 ? i would love  it if you could clear this up for me.

At the end of Season 6 (May 1996), Brandon & Kelly get confirmation from Brenda & Dylan that Dylan is in London, England and living with Brenda. It's suggested that Brenda & Dylan had become a couple once again.

In November 1997, the storyline that had Erica working as a prostitute and spotted by Brandon & Kelly ended with Erica being sent to London, England where Iris transferred custody to Dylan. When Brandon & Kelly were trying to help Erica, dialogue in the episodes indicate that Brandon was communicating with both Brenda & Dylan.

In Season 8's finale (May 1998), Brenda & Dylan had both been invited to the wedding, but in dialogue Brandon tells Kelly that neither can make it because they were already on their way to Corsica themselves. So, Brandon, Kelly, Brenda, and Dylan had made plans to meet up in Corsica.

In Season 9's opener which picks up the day after the attempted wedding timewise(aired September 1998), Brandon tells Kelly that she should take Donna on the trip to Corsica and go visit Brenda & Dylan.

Then you have the rewrites when Dylan returns in November 1998 and through the end of the series. Those are as follows:

When Dylan arrives, everyone thinks he was with Brenda and Donna even asks him how Brenda is. He replies that she should call Brenda and ask Brenda herself.

Later, during his talk with Kelly on the beach, when he reveals why he returned, he claims that he had not been with Brenda for about two years (1996, which would be roughly when Kelly originally learned he was living with Brenda in London). Then when Steve & Janet get married, Dylan reveals to Kelly that he had shown up for her attempted wedding but did not reveal himself to anyone and left quietly because he supposedly could not take watching her marry the wrong man.  

So until the rewrite, Brenda & Dylan were together from roughly sometime after he left Beverly Hills following Toni's death and when everyone learned he was living with Brenda in London until sometime before he returned to Beverly Hills in November 1998. That would cover Seasons 6-9.

Upon rewrite, they were together from whenever he arrived in London after Toni's death until sometime the same year that their friends found out they were living together in London. That would only cover Season 6, possibly Season 7.
