Question
Hey Mel! I was wondering if you could give me the dialogue between Kelly and Dylan when they were at the pool party in the episode "Radio Daze" from season 4 and I remember a scene where Dylan throws Kelly in the pool and then they have a little conversation in the water. It only showed them for about 20 seconds or so in the water.

Answer
Hi, Kelly.

Here are the scenes from "Radio Daze", 4.05, you requested.

D: Hi.
K: Dylan! (kiss) Hi.  You remember John Sears from West Beverly?
D: Not really.
JS: Nice to meet you.  (extends a hand for him to shake; he doesn't) Kelly and I were just talking about you.
D: And here I am.
JS: (to Kelly) Well, it's nice to see you.  (to Dylan) So tell me, which frat house are you gonna pledge to?
D: Crack House.
JS: (awkward smile) Great.  I'll see you guys later. (he leaves)
K: We could have a fight right now, but that's not the reason you came, is it?
D: No, the only reason I'm here is to be with you.
K: Well, I'm glad you're here. (kiss)
D: I'm glad too. Come on ...

-----

Announcer: Okay, listen up, everybody.  Listen up.  As promised, it's time for the dance contest.  Now, best frosh dances win straight 'A's for two semesters or a $25 gift certificate to Poncho's Pizza.  It's your choice.

K: C'moooon, whaddaya say? (pulling him in playfully)
D: What?
K: C'mon.
D: That?
K: Yeah.
D: Oh, no way.  You're lucky I'm even here.  Don't push it.  You want a soda?
K: Alright.
D: C'mon.

They go stand off to the side with Brandon, The Man Who Shall Not Dance.  Eventually, John Sears starts dancing right next to them and glancing back at Kelly.  Dylan glares at him suspiciously.

Brenda and David are declared winners in the dance contest.  Donna comes over to congratulate them.  They wrestle to throw each other in the pool until all three of them fall in.  The crowd cheers.  Dylan, apparently seeing an opening, approaches John and pushes him in the pool, saying, "Have a nice day".  He turns around to Kelly proudly.  Surprised and amused, she then pushes him in the pool but he takes her with him.

Later, in the pool.

K: Admit it - you had a great time.
D: (smiles) Yeah, don't ever make me do this again.  (he kisses her, then pulls her under the water).

Thanks for the question!

All the best,

Mel

Can Dylan solve quadratic equations? What makes up a "mega-burger"? If an answer exists, I probably know it. Whether your question is general, begging the context of all 10 seasons, or completely inane, feel free to drop me a line either way. I will provide episode reference numbers for each response and plan to have some fun with this. Trivia quizzes often need correction, and publications will get their plotlines/characters/relationships mixed up too. I accept dialogue/scene requests, but please limit your inquiry to 1-2 per question. I only know music from the original broadcasts/reruns, not the DVDs. Been a fan since 1990 and didn't miss a beat.

Experience

Well, I began watching "Beverly Hills, 90210" at the tender age of 9 and a half, during its original run. By 11, I was a huge fan; 13, obsessed; 14, growing bitter. I don't like S6 - S10 as much as Seasons 1 - 5. But, technically, I still watch all of them in some way. Do this for 20 years and you'll remember the darndest things.

Education/Credentials
I'd like to say I've earned a "degree" on the life and times of the original eight, with specific concentration on Seasons 1 thru 5, any Jack McKay drama, Dylan/Kelly together or apart, and the guest stars of 1992-1994. Season 4, I think, was the best and strikingly different from any other. My only weakness might be later-season 'stand-in' characters like Matt and Noah, and the ever-changing ownerships of The AfterDark.
