Question
Hi Carmen! I have 2 questions I was hoping you could help me answer.

1. How come we barely see Dylan after him and Brenda start dating in season 1? He's in the next episode "B.Y.O.B." but then we don't see him until 3 episodes later in "East Side Story" And they don't have a storyline together until "Palm Springs Weekend" Also in "One Man and a Baby" Brenda acts like she's not even dating Dylan! In my other favorite show, The O.C., my favorite couple are inseparable when they start dating! Do you know why this is?

2. Is that a bathroom in the Walsh house behind the stairs? The door is always closed and I don't think anyone goes in there until season 5 in "Intervention" when Dylan goes in there and almost does a line of Cocaine. I remember seeing a toilet and sink in the room so I'm assuming it's a bathroom. What do you think? Is it ever mentioned if it is in fact a bathroom?

Thank you for your help!

Answer
Hi Kaelyn,
1. I'm not sure why Dylan isn't seen in some of the episodes. You're right, they get off to such a strong start and then he's barely mentioned for a few episodes. My guess is that Luke Perry (the actor) had other things going on and wanted time off, or perhaps the writers wanted to focus more on Brandon for a bit so Brenda's storylines were on the back burner. Otherwise, your guess is as good as mine.

2. That is a bathroom in the Walsh house, but they don't show it being used until season 5. They show the upstairs bathroom that Brandon and Brenda share much more often. The downstairs bathroom is shown again in Season 6 when Colin (Kelly's boyfriend) does some cocaine. So maybe it should be called the "drug bathroom." :) LOL

Hope this helps,
Carmen

Hi. 90210 is my absolute favorite show. I watch it at least twice a day, have my favorite episodes on tape, and can answer any question anyone has about the plot lines. Valerie, Brenda, and David are my favorite characters. I have met few people who love the show as much as I do. 90210 has been my salvation after a hard day, a way to kill boredom, and just pure pleasure. If you are curious about the character`s lives or little tidbits, feel free to ask me. I`ve been known to help people win trivia contests.
