Question
thanks crystal, i am pretty sure they cut parts out i know especially when donna and ray 1st meet, but i dont understand why if he was on the show and gave his ok to sing them, or even if they asked him again im sure he would have no prob bc it gives him more credit for the music, they had jade sing their song at the after dark but never showed him, that makes me so mad bc thats what made me love him and the show so much more. i wonder what else they cut that people dont know about, cause like i said it may have been a while ago but i thought i remembered him singing quite a bit, and ive seen him sing mb 2 times that stinks i wish i could see the originals again, you know mb where i could see them??? OH and do you know the song that is playing in the summer storm episode with dylan on the couch at the beach with visions of his father, not the old music the new one that they changed, it goes damn you may you die and see the oposite of me .... thanks for all your help niki

Answer
Hello Niki,

It's possible that CBS never approached Jamie Walters about using his songs for the DVD release.

Soapnet airs BH90210 daily, if you have that channel, check your listings for air times. Far as I know, the only thing changed there is maybe the end credits or cutting 2 hour episodes into separate 1 hour episodes.

From there, CBS.com and fancast.com appear to have most of the episodes from Seasons 1-4. They may add more at a later time. I do not know if these are as they originally aired or if cuts/changes have been made. Finally, there are fansites and fan message boards that may have the episodes where a user has uploaded them.

I do not know any of the songs used on the DVD sets in place of the original songs used in the episodes.

Take care,
Crystal

Expertise

I have seen all 10 seasons of 90210 and have every episode on tape to locate answers. My expertise is on the first 6 seasons and the characters Brenda and Dylan, but I will attempt to answer any question pertaining to the show. Please no scene/dialogue questions because they are very time-consuming and frustrating. However, I will be happy to clarify misunderstood dialogue due to whispering and such if I'm able to. I will attempt to answer any song question for the original airdates and syndication. NO DVD SONG QUESTIONS PLEASE. Please see my "Life Experience" in my profile for song question updates, it may pertain to your question.

Experience

I have every single episode on tape to find the answers. I watched and taped the show religiously. (All requests for copies of my videotapes/episodes will be declined.)
Update: The song used in "Crunch Time" during David's meth addiction is "Living In A Fantasy" by The Rainbow Band. Many thanks to the fellow 90210 Fan that contacted me with the info when they tracked it down. Also, the song used in "One Wedding and a Funeral" that Dylan & Toni dance to is "Nobody Knows Me" by Lyle Lovett. Same song is used during the scene where Dylan is crying while holding the wedding dress and then kitten. David & Donna's wedding song is "Spend My Life With You" by Eric Benet & Tamia. Same song was Steve & Janet's wedding song.
