Question
why does kelly hate val and vise versa? and does donna hate val? thanks!

Answer
When Valerie first arrives, Kelly is sympathetic towards her because she knows that her father has died.  She starts hating Valerie because she catches Valerie hooking up with Dylan in the back room of the Peach Pit when Val is supposedly dating Steve.  Kelly tells Brandon and Steve and confronts Valerie.  From that point on - Kelly doesn't trust her and the girls hate each other.  They often compete for guys, most specifically the attention of Brandon, Colin, and Dylan. Valerie dates Colin after Kelly breaks up with him, and Kelly and Val get in a big fight when Kelly finds a letter that Valerie wrote to Brandon telling him not to marry Kelly.  They also fight because Valerie is basically a liar and Kelly doesn't like the fact that Brandon tries to rescue her.  Valerie sends a fake telegram from Dylan to trick Kelly into cancelling plans with Brandon and does other things like hiding Brandon's phone messages when her and Kelyl are working together. In season 7, Kelly tries to kick Valerie out of the Walsh house, but eventually lets her stay. Kelly also gets really angry with Valerie when she catches Val in bed with Val's mother's fiance in Vegas. They do have moments of friendship and understanding though.  The most notable are when Valerie says she is having an abortion (although she is lying which leads Kelly to hate her more), when Kelly lets Valerie have Tom back in season 7, when they exchange Christmas presents in season 7, when they go to the convent in season 6 and Kelly acknowledges at the end that she shouldn't judge Valerie, and most specifically - at the 5 year West Beverly reunion in season 8 and in Valerie's last episode "You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello" when they kind of become friends.

Donna has a better overall relationship with Valerie but they definitely experience low points too.  They go into business together at one point, but when Donna finds out that Valerie stole all of her clients she yells, "you're a bitch" at her and slaps her at the After Dark. They also fight over Ray in seasons 5 and 6. Valerie sleeps with Ray while he is dating Donna, and later confesses when they go to the convent. Donna says "you really are a slut aren't you" and throws up outside of the car, but later, when she confronts Ray, he says "that bitch" referring to Valerie and Donna replies, "yeah well that bitch is my friend which is more than I can say for you." - so it seems like they have somewhat of an understanding. They get in other fights about David including in Vegas when he gets robbed and Valerie, Clare, and Steve can't find him. They are generally not friends, but they don't have the same hatred for each other as Kelly and Valerie do, but I also don't think they have the same level of understanding of each other. Valerie does try to protect Donna when Ray throws her down the stairs in Palm Springs, and Donna is somewhat (in a way) sympathetic to Valerie when she accuses Noah of raping her.
