Beverly Hills 90210/follow-up question
Expert: Crystal - 10/16/2009
QuestionQUESTION: hi crystal! i read this question online: "There is a dance song playing on episode 130 at a keg party while Kelly is speaking to Brandon about being there for him and Steve is in the scene also. Do you know the name of the song or who sings it? Thank you." i've been wanting to know the name of that song as well. part of the lyrics are "..found a happy ending...your love defending"..something like that. i'd really appreciate if you could email me the title/artist. thank you so much!
ANSWER: Hello Chiqui,
It appears that I was not able to answer this question when another person asked it due to not having enough info.
Thanks for providing some lyrics, I'll see if I can find a match. In the meantime, can you provide season & episode title or original airdate? Or maybe a main storyline from the episode for me to pinpoint the episode to find the scene you're asking about? There are 3 episodes that could be identified as episode 130: "Hazardous to Your Health", "Little Monsters" or "You Gotta Have Heart".
Look forward to hearing from you again,
Crystal

QUESTION: thanks for the quick response, crystal. it's actually only steve & kelly in the keg party scene. the other person asking about the song may have been referring to another episode. luckily i've found the name of the song -- "by the way" by jenna drey. it was in the "sounds greek to me" episode of season 4. i've got 2 more questions though. 1) where can i download free full episodes of beverly hills 90210 considering i'm in the philippines (asia)? 2) where can i get the complete list of songs used for all the episodes? thanks again!
ANSWER: I do not think there is a website that has a complete list of all songs used on the show. The most thorough one I know of is tv.com's Beverly Hills 90210 episode guide.
Same thing with full episodes, I don't think there is a website that has every episode. IMDB.com, tv.com, youtube.com, fancast.com, and CBS.com have full episodes available for viewing (don't know if you can download them). I don't know how many seasons they have available (at least the first 4), but it appears all of them have the DVD versions of each episode (so to me, these are not actually full episodes). That means that the original music and scenes could have been changed or cut (in fact, good chance of it) from the original network airings.
If you want, you can try fan message boards such as the one I frequent:
http://90210fans.proboards.com/index.cgi?
To access the threads, you will have to register, but it is free. Members on that board have posted full episodes minus commercials (original music, no cut scenes as far as I know) of many episodes (it's not complete though, there are episodes still needed).
Try doing a web search through any search engine and maybe you will turn up something that I don't know about and is exactly what you're looking for.
My apologies that I couldn't provide more help.
Take care,
Crystal

QUESTION: by the way, the first song that i mentioned is played again in episode 7 of season 5. it's at the beginning of the episode when jamie walters is driving in his red pickup truck. here's my last question: "thank you, crystal. there are 2 dance/pop songs in "radio daze" (season 4) that david & brenda dance to. i'd like to know the titles/artists. some lyrics of one song go like "i've been around the world and i've seen every girl...when i see you i go...na na na na..." the other song's lyrics go like "i won't be missing you for long. i won't be lonely when you're gone...in the dark...i won't be wondering where you are...these are the things i say..." i've read a question in here about the david-brenda dance. the answer was "show me" by ultra nate. i listened to that song and it's not the one. i'd really appreciate if u could help me. thanks a lot!"
AnswerThanks for pointing out another time one of the songs you were asking about was used. It would be much easier for me and anyone else that has the DVDs that when the music was changed, that the people that made the DVDs took the time to list the title/artist for the new replacement songs. It would also have been nice if the artist/title for original songs had been included as well.
Take care,
Crystal
