AboutCrystal Expertise I have seen all 10 seasons of 90210 and have every episode on tape to locate answers. My expertise is on
the first 6 seasons and the characters Brenda and Dylan, but I will attempt to answer any question
pertaining to the show. Please no scene/dialogue questions because they are very time-consuming and
frustrating. However, I will be happy to clarify misunderstood dialogue due to whispering and such if I'm able to. I will attempt to answer any song question, however I do not know any of the DVD replacement songs. Please see my "Life Experience" in my profile for song question updates, it may pertain to your question.
Experience I have every single episode on tape to find the answers. I watched and taped the show religiously. (All requests for copies of my videotapes/episodes will be declined.)
Update: The song used in "Crunch Time" during David's meth addiction is "Living In A Fantasy" by The Rainbow Band. Many thanks to the fellow 90210 Fan that contacted me with the info when they tracked it down.
Also, the song used in "One Wedding and a Funeral" that Dylan & Toni dance to is "Nobody Knows Me" by Lyle Lovett. Same song is used during the scene where Dylan is crying while holding the wedding dress and then kitten. David & Donna's wedding song is "Spend My Life With You" by Eric Benet & Tamia. Same song was Steve & Janet's wedding song.
Education/Credentials Pertaining to BH90210: fan since original airing on Fox going back to 1991. Saw 1st season from reruns & syndication.
Question In season 7 of the episode "Heaven Sent" David cooks for Donna and in that scene they discuss where they were 5 years before on April 9th. David said "It was spring love was in the air and my father was about to marr Jackie Taylor." Donna says "And we took a walk on the beach, and that's when you told me you loved me." I was wondering when was the first time David and Donna actually admit that they love each other.
Answer Hello Elicia,
I've checked several episodes on the DVDs and this is what I've found:
In S2's "Chuckie's Back" they go to the Christmas dance together as friends. Before they go inside, they are talking in Donna's car about being seen together. After Donna says that she feels honored to be going to the dance with the best dancer at the school, David tries to kiss her. Donna pulls back quickly and David apologizes for misreading her. Once inside, after dancing, Donna kisses David in front of their friends and everyone else. She announces "Ok. See, I like him, and if any of you have a problem with that, that's too bad." She then starts to kiss David again.
In S3's "Sex, Lies and Volleyball/Photo Fini", David is happy that he's received a postcard from Donna while she's in Paris. He reads out loud to Kelly what Donna had written, she had signed it "Love you, miss you, Donna."
In S3's "A Song of Myself", after Nikki tells Donna about her summer fling with David thinking David had told her the night before, Donna decides to get revenge with Nikki's help. At the barbecue Dylan throws at his house, Nikki is coming on to David and he resists her advances and states "I love Donna" while saying he plans to tell her when the time is right. After that Donna comes in due to the whole thing being a setup and Nikki leaves, while she and David are talking he states "Look, I'm sorry. I love you. You know that" and Donna replies "Yeah, I do."
In S4's "Windstruck", while they are recording PSAs, Donna tells David she is ready to take their relationship to the next level (have sex). While she explaining how she feels, she states "David, I love you."
During the same conversation, Donna states "No matter what I put you through, you always stay with me. You must love me." David replies "Believe me, after what happened last night, and the fact I'm still here today, proves it.
Later in that episode, after Donna's parents show up for a surprise visit and interrupt Donna and David's romantic night where they had planned to have sex for the first time, there is a scene where Donna and David are talking on the phone to each other about what happened after David left the apartment. When they end the call, David says "I love you" and Donna replies "I love you too."
If I find anything else, I'll be sure to let you know.
