AboutMel Expertise Can Dylan solve quadratic equations? What makes up a "mega-burger"? Believe me, if an
answer exists, I probably know it. Whether your question is general, begging the context
of all 10 seasons, or completely inane, feel free to drop me a line either way. I will provide
episode reference numbers for each response, and plan to have some fun with
this. Trivia quizzes often need correction, and publications will get their plotlines/characters/relationships mixed up too. I accept dialogue/scene requests, but please limit your inquiry to 1-2 per question. Note: I will not know the names of any replacement songs used on the DVDs or on YouTube, only those from the original broadcast episodes. Been a fan since 1990, the very beginning. Don't let show forums warp your brain.
Experience Well, I began watching "Beverly Hills, 90210" at the tender age of 9 and a half, during its original run. By 11, I was a huge fan; 13, obsessed; 14, growing bitter. I don't like the later seasons as much. But, technically, I still watch all of them in some way. Do this for 19-plus years and you'll remember the darndest things. Education/Credentials I'd like to say I've earned a "degree" on the life and times of the original eight, with specific concentration on Seasons 1 thru 5, any Jack McKay drama, Dylan/Kelly together or apart, and the guest stars of 1992-1994. Season 4, I think, was the best and strikingly different from any other. My only real weakness might be later-season 'stand-in' characters like Matt and Noah, and the ever-changing ownerships of The AfterDark.

Question There is this awesome dance song that David & Brenda dance to in episode Radio Daze. I can't figure out the name of the song but if you go to youtube and type in Radio Daze then scroll down there is a clip that says Brenda & David dancing. Is there anyway you can find out the name of this song. The was then featured again in Strangers In The Night when Brenda & Stuart go to the club.
Answer Hi Steve,
Well, the good news is that I think (after years of trying, lol) I found it - the song appears to be "Show Me" by Ultra Nate (upward accent on the 'e'). However, it's an extremely rare track now and frequently overshadowed by others of the same name from that year (1993). If you do a Youtube search without the 't' in 'Ultra', you should get a video for the "MAW dub" version of the song ... which will sound almost nothing like the original/radio edit but provide a big clue. In the very beginning, there are the following vocals: "Me - me love is real. Me - me love is real, yeeeah". They seem to match the vocals heard as the song starts up in the "Radio Daze" episode (Steve and Celeste are midway through their fight by her car). Ultra Nate has been known somewhat in the dance and electronica scenes for the last two decades and does seem to do collaborations that don't necessarily make it to official CD. "Free" and "Give It All You Got" have radio edits that might sound familiar if you just want to check on her voice. Of course, lyrics like, "show me baby your love is real", just cue up all the love songs of our time. Music listings for "Radio Daze" have always been incomplete.
