Expertise
I can answer literally every question that you have about "Beverly Hills, 90210." - especially regarding seasons 1-7. I have them all on tape as I have been recording this show since I was 9 years old. I know the lives of the characters inside and out - go ahead.. try me!

Experience
I have been recording this show on VHS since I was nine years old. I have seen every episode at least ten times, sometimes more. In most cases (seasons 1-7 especially) I can quote entire scenes. I have every episode on tape and can easily point out differences between original broadcasts and the episodes on the DVDs. Playinthesurf

Beverly Hills 90210 - Kelly and Sammy

Expert: Catherine - 6/3/2009

Question
Can you explain if it ever tells how Kelly had a child with Dylan (Sammy) in the new CW series.  I remember her having a miscarriage and telling Brandon she could not have children.
Thank you.

Answer
Kelly explains that she "hooked up" with Dylan (they had broken up) and got pregnant. When Brenda tells Kelly that she can't have kids, Kelly tells her that "they didn't think I could have kids either" so there is some reference to the incident that you are mentioning in season 7 when Kelly got pregnant by Brandon and miscarried because of endometriosis.

Basically, my sense is that they wanted to give Kelly a kid so they just glossed over the fact that she couldn't have kids and rewrote the story.  This is not surprising or uncommon, even within the original "Beverly Hills, 90210" there were continuity errors, and there are other clear continutiy errors between BH 90210 and 90210 - I just don't think the new writers care.

Hope that helps!
