I know this cannot be answered with a concrete answer, but I was wondering who you feel Dylan loved more, Kelly or Toni? I am a huge Dylan-Kelly fan, and remember Kelly being very upset when Dylan announced his engagement.Who do you think Dylan had stronger feelings for? And who do you think Kelly had stronger feelings for, Dylan or Brandon? Thanks for your opinions.

I don't want to answer this as a so-called expert since there is no real answer but I will give you my opinion.. I think that at the time in season 6, dylan truly loved toni and felt that he was supposed to be with her. He even said, "I don't know, maybe we have 2 sole mates.. I just know I love toni" (paraphrasing). I think that he really felt like toni was for him and thought that kelly would never be with him and therefore had accepted it and truly moved on. I don't think that he was in anyway still pining for kelly or hoping that he would get her back. I think that he still loved her but had moved on. On the flipside, I think that looking back years later - dylan felt that kelly had been the love of his life and his real soulmate. I think the "two soulmates" quote from season 6 is telling because it isn't as much as a competition between the two of them but that there was a place for both of them in his heart. He even tried to avenge tonis death in season 9 but was able to get passed it and get over toni similar to the way he got over kelly years before - although kelly didn't die. I get the sense that dylan could have been happy with toni just as we are supposed to assume that he was happy with kelly (before the new 90210 came along). I think the brandon dylan story is much different. I do not think that brandon was ever right for kelly (others will disagree) but I think that dylan was always who kelly was supposed to be with. Kelly loved dylan so much that she was willing to lose her first and closest best friend over him. Dylan was also the only one who truly understood her - seen in episodes like the one with the senior poll. Brandon doesn't understand why kelly is so upset over the burns after the fire and why she won't let him help her - this is something dylan would intuitively understand which is part of the reason that dylan is able to get her out of the cult and brandon isn't. Brandon is the good and stable kind of guy that kelly wants to be with and wants to let into her life completely but she can't ever give all of herself to him and she never really trusts him (maybe for good reason) but initially I think its because she can't imagine that someone like brandon would want to be with someone who has the background and emotional issues that she has - she went to brandon as an alternative because she was fighting with dylan and brandon was the opposite but in my opinion.. They never really understood each other and were never meant to be together. Brandon cheated on kelly and when he moved to dc they both said they had no regrets. They were completely over each other. If anything.. I almost think that matt was better for her but his story was very similar to brandons. I hope that answers your question!
