Question
In the episode that Brandon and Kelly are supposed to be married, when they call it off, Brandon tells Kelly and Donna to take the honeymoon trip to go see Brenda and Dylan.  Where are they and how did they get together?  THEN, what happened between them that allowed Dylan to return to the show?

Answer
Hello Renee,

Brenda and Dylan's reason for not being able to make the wedding was that they were on their way to Corsica, which happened to be where Kelly and Brandon would have been honeymooning. The four were planning on meeting up there. That was the end of the 8th season (1998).

Brenda and Dylan were living together in London, England at that time. Brenda went there to study acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts at the end of the 4th season (1994). Dylan left Beverly Hills in 1995 (5th season) after the death of his wife Antonia. He told Brandon that he did not have any set destination. At the end of that season, Brandon (through an email from Brenda),Kelly (through a letter from Dylan) and Donna and David (through a letter from Dylan to send Steve birthday greetings through Donna that had Brenda's return address) learned that Brenda and Dylan were living together. Valerie found out Dylan was in London while she was checking phone messages. She had a call from the private investigator that helped Dylan get his money and sister back in Mexico. He was calling about something he was helping her with and happened to have that info and thought he'd share it with her. Brandon also overheard that message.

It was never revealed what happened between Brenda and Dylan that resulted in his return to Beverly Hills. What makes it even more confusing is Dylan's statements to Kelly upon his return in 11/98 about when he left Brenda. He stated that he had left Brenda TWO years prior to his return, but the almost wedding (5/98) placed him with Brenda just a few months before that. Also, a storyline featuring Dylan's sister in 11/97 had Brenda and Dylan together in London and Erica sent to live with him when it was wrapped up. Kelly also wrote in her journal that Dylan was in London with Brenda when she was having a hard time moving on after her break-up with Brandon and he was dating Tracey. When Steve and Janet married, Dylan told Kelly that he had been at Brandon and Kelly's attempted wedding. But, with your question, you know that he was with Brenda at that time.

I hope that didn't confuse you too much and it answered your question completely. If you need me to clarify anything, ask away.

Thanks for your question,
Crystal

Expertise

I have seen all 10 seasons of 90210 and have every episode on tape to locate answers. My expertise is on the first 6 seasons and the characters Brenda and Dylan, but I will attempt to answer any question pertaining to the show. Please no scene/dialogue questions because they are very time-consuming and frustrating. However, I will be happy to clarify misunderstood dialogue due to whispering and such if I'm able to. I will attempt to answer any song question for the original airdates and syndication. NO DVD SONG QUESTIONS PLEASE. Please see my "Life Experience" in my profile for song question updates, it may pertain to your question.

Experience

I have every single episode on tape to find the answers. I watched and taped the show religiously. (All requests for copies of my videotapes/episodes will be declined.)
Update: The song used in "Crunch Time" during David's meth addiction is "Living In A Fantasy" by The Rainbow Band. Many thanks to the fellow 90210 Fan that contacted me with the info when they tracked it down. Also, the song used in "One Wedding and a Funeral" that Dylan & Toni dance to is "Nobody Knows Me" by Lyle Lovett. Same song is used during the scene where Dylan is crying while holding the wedding dress and then kitten. David & Donna's wedding song is "Spend My Life With You" by Eric Benet & Tamia. Same song was Steve & Janet's wedding song.
