QUESTION: Hi Carmen! I was wondering if you could help me out with a couple questions I have:

1. What happens to Dylan's house and car while he is gone? In 'One Wedding and a Funeral' he gives Brandon the keys and tells him to lock up the house. Then he rides off on his motorcycle. Is anything said about where his car is or what happens to his house while he's gone for 3 years?
2. Did Brenda, Brandon and Andrea know about David's drug problem in season 4?

ANSWER: Hi Kaelyn,
These are really good questions! It's not clear what happens to Dylan's house while he's gone. During the episode after he leaves, Brandon is at the house collecting mail and such, but then they don't really say what happens. But before he left, Dylan must have put his car in a storage facility. When he comes back in season 9, one of the 1st things he does is go get his car out of a "vintage car storage" place. He has to clean it up and gets upset when he sees the bullet holes.

I don't remember any scenes where Brenda, Brandon, and Andrea talk to David (or anyone else) about his drug problem in season 4, but they had to have known. There was one scene where Brandon sees David racing out of the dorm with drugs in his backpack and says something about David being "unhinged." Also, in the "intervention" episode for Dylan, David talks about his past drug use and no one seemed surprised. Brenda, Brandon, and Andrea were all really preoccupied with their own problems in season 4, which is probably why they weren't too involved in helping David.

QUESTION: Was Toni driving Dylan's Porsche when she got shot? Is that what you meant by 'he gets upset when he sees the bullet holes'? It was so dark in that scene.

Yes, I think Toni was driving Dylan's porsche when she got shot. It was really dark but I think Marchette's men shot at her because they were looking for the Porsche and assumed the driver was Dylan. Dylan sees bullet holes in the Porsche side door when he retrieves the car from storage after he comes back to the show.
