Question
Hi Crystal...

I know this has been asked already, but I would also like to be notified if you find out the songs from this episode.

I particularly want the one that was playing at Brenda & Brandon's party, when Kelly and David were dancing.  In the background it sounds like "Don't you love me....don't you love me".  I used to hear this song all the time in 1990 on the Hot 97 radio station in New York.  I was 19 then, and even THEN I could never get the official title of the song or the artist.  Now that song is bringing back great memories and I would love to purchase it for download somehow!

I just saw this episode today, and I even tivoed it, going slowly through the credits to see if the song was mentioned but it wasn't.

Thanks a ton!
Christie

Answer
Hello Christie,

I know that the song "Reptile" by Christopher Luke is used in this episode. That is the only one I know for definite at this time.

I will be sure to let you know if I'm able to identify the song and artist you're asking about. As you can probably guess, song questions are the most difficult.

A song that may be it is "Don't You Love Me" by Eternal. I don't think it is though because from the 30 second sample I heard through a website that song appears to be too slow in tempo.

Unfortunately for many people, 90210 did not give song/artist credit at the end of each episode except for the songs that appeared on the official show soundtracks.

I'll continue the search for your song. Thanks for the question.

==========================

A fellow 90210 fan named Berto has provided me with the answer to your song question. He said that it was 'Don't You Love Me' by 49ers.

He was also wondering if you would happen to know the song he's looking for since he knew yours. The one he's looking for is played BEFORE "Don't You Love Me"; during the scene when Kelly answers the phone and says "party hotline make all your dreams come true" and it's Cindy on the other end. He was able to pick up the lyrics: 'not to be your lover, to be your brother, captive' or something like that.

He was going to contact you himself, but there is no way to do so.

Take care,
Crystal

Expertise

I have seen all 10 seasons of 90210 and have every episode on tape to locate answers. My expertise is on the first 6 seasons and the characters Brenda and Dylan, but I will attempt to answer any question pertaining to the show. Please no scene/dialogue questions because they are very time-consuming and frustrating. However, I will be happy to clarify misunderstood dialogue due to whispering and such if I'm able to. I will attempt to answer any song question for the original airdates and syndication. NO DVD SONG QUESTIONS PLEASE. Please see my "Life Experience" in my profile for song question updates, it may pertain to your question.

Experience

I have every single episode on tape to find the answers. I watched and taped the show religiously. (All requests for copies of my videotapes/episodes will be declined.)
Update: The song used in "Crunch Time" during David's meth addiction is "Living In A Fantasy" by The Rainbow Band. Many thanks to the fellow 90210 Fan that contacted me with the info when they tracked it down. Also, the song used in "One Wedding and a Funeral" that Dylan & Toni dance to is "Nobody Knows Me" by Lyle Lovett. Same song is used during the scene where Dylan is crying while holding the wedding dress and then kitten. David & Donna's wedding song is "Spend My Life With You" by Eric Benet & Tamia. Same song was Steve & Janet's wedding song.
