Question
Can you please tell me Valeries story lines from day one through to the last day?

Answer
Hi Tony,
I will do my best to highlight Valerie's storylines. She was on the show for 4 seasons, starting in season 5 of 90210.

Season 5: Val moves from Buffalo, NY into Brenda's room in the Walsh house. Val's fam has been close to the Walsh family since childhood and Val also grew up in Minneapolis. Her father committed suicide a few months prior and so Val needs a stable environment. Steve hits on Val, but she isn't really interested. She winds up hooking up with Dylan (after 1st not telling him who she is) and dates Steve at the same time. Steve finds out about her deception and Val decides to move back to NY. Val ends up staying, and tries to get back with Steve. But since Dylan is drinking and drugging, Val is still hanging out with him. After D goes into rehab, Val and him break up. Val helps Steve throw a rave where the house erupts into flames (she is unharmed). That's basically the end of the Val-Steve romance for now. Dylan comes back from rehab and finds out that his long-lost sister is being held hostage by her crook parents in Mexico, who stole Dylan's millions in the last season. Val goes to Mexico with Dylan to create a sting operation. Val's cover is blown, but of course everything works out and Dylan's sis is saved. Val's involvement in the Mexico scam earns her $10,000 from Dylan. Val also gets tons of money (they don't tell us how much) from the other person involved in the sting, and ex-FBI agent named Jonesy. Her payment is in exchange for her doing another job for him, which will happen in the next season. After awhile, Val starts hitting on Donna's boyfriend Ray. They sleep together 2 times, and Ray breaks it off. Val is determined to get him, so she decides to buy the Peach Pit After Dark, the club that Ray plays at. She tries to use her power to blackmail him into still sleeping with her, so Ray quits. Alone again, Val turns her charm to Brandon. She goes to Palm Springs with Brandon and witnesses Ray throwing Donna down a flight of stairs. Donna rebuff's Val's attempts at support, since Donna is suspicious of Val. Brandon is all about Kelly, but when Kelly turns down his proposal and Brandon's parents move to Hong Kong, he makes out with Val. The season ends with them making out on the couch.

Season 6: Val invites her friend from NY, Ginger, to stay with her for a few weeks. The Walsh house is for sale and Val contemplates moving in w/Ginger or going back to NY. The deal for the house falls thru, so Val still has a place to live. Since Val is lonely, she and Ginger cook up a scheme to ensure that the gang starts to like her. She sets up Ray, making him look like a thief, when Ginger is really the one stealing the stuff. She then busts Ginger in front of her friends, to make it seem like she's some big hero. The gang falls for it and is grateful to Val, but it was all just a hoax and Val pays her friend $5000 for helping. Kelly's new boyfriend, Colin, is an old friend of Val's from high school. Val has always had a thing for Colin, so she flirts with him whenever she can and lets Colin paint a mural for her nightclub. Meanwhile, Val and David bond over both having parents they consider "crazy." When David is devastated by his mother's suicide attempt, Val takes him to her fave place, a cliff where she said she stands for a "gut check." She tells David if he wants to die, she won't stop him, and this snaps him back into reality. The 2 start dating after that. Val finagles her way into a road trip with Donna, Claire, and Kelly. She admits that she slept with Ray and Donna breaks up with him. Val takes an advertising class and is sexually harrassed by her teacher. David stands by her and they get closer. Val's FBI pal Jonesy comes back into the picture and has Val dress up like a hooker to trap one of J's clients in some divorce case. She is secretive about it and David gets mad, but he bails her out of jail after she gets arrested for prostitution (the charges are later dropped.) Colin gets hooked on cocaine and V tries to help him but it doesn't work. To make matters worse, V's friend Ginger comes back and tries to blackmail her. G asks for $50,000 or to sleep with David for 1 night in exchange for not exposing the Ray-stealing scam. Val asks David if he will sleep with Ginger to protect her own reputation. A disgusted David breaks up with Val. With Kelly in rehab and David gone, Val begins dating Colin. Colin is obviously still in love with Kelly but sucks Val in. When C is arrested on drug charges, Val puts up the bail money and almost loses her club when C jumps bail. C is found at the end of the season and all ends well. Colin and Val are over for good.

Season 7: Val's club is in trouble so she gets help from the Walsh's friend Kenny Bannerman. Kenny is older and married, but he and Val start dating anyway. Kenny tells her he will leave his wife but of course does not. Angered, Val fakes being pregnant to hold onto him. When that doesn't work, she offers to have an abortion for $100,000. When Kenny hesitates to pay her, Val goes to his house and brings his wife a box of dypers. Steve overhears Val talk about the "pregnancy" so she is forced to pretends to go to the doctor and be all depressed. Steve gets Kelly to be supportive to Val, who keeps lying. Kel gets suspicious, tells Brandon, who confronts Kenny and Val. When B finds out about Val taking the money under false pretenses, he threatens to kick her out if she doesn't give back the money. She reluctantly does. With the Kenny debacle behind her, Val's old boyfriend from Buffalo comes to visit. He and Val date and V gives him a job at the After Dark. Tom is there for V when her mother comes to visit. Thru this visit, Val admits that her father molested her since she was 11. Val's mom acts as if she did not know it happened, and she and her mom try to make amends. The memories are too much for Val and she tells Tom to leave. Val dates an actor named Rob. Val acts as Rob's manager, but when Rob decides to leave the business Val is left out in the cold. Val is also upset by Brandon and Kelly getting back together. She tries to keep them apart by making B think K is still in love w/Dylan, but it doesn't work. Val then tries to become better friends w/Donna and Claire by reading Kelly's diary and telling them the mean things Kelly wrote. That backfires and D and C don't like Val anymore. In a last ditch effort for revenge, Val decides to invest money w/Kelly's dad so that she will have a better relationship with him than Kelly. Val gets scammed by one of the investers and loses $100,000. She also loses the AFter Dark, since she sells it to David to raise money for her investment. Val tells Kelly that she blames K for ruining her chance with Brandon the night when they make out on the couch. K denies it and V ends up looking like a fool. The final blow comes when Brandon tells her she has to move out so Kelly can move in. Val writes a suicide note and Brandon finds her up at the cliff she took David to last season. It's not clear if she really would have done it but it succeeds in letting her stay in the Walsh house. AFter a miraculous recovery, she winds up having sex with Steve at a party the same night. This was not a good season for Val.

Season 8: The gang is out of college, and Val is trying unsuccessfully to find a job. The crew goes to Hawaii where V meets Noah, a cute guy who works on boats. Noah moves to LA so V and N start dating. Since Val thinks Noah is poor, she also dates a rich guy named Cooper Hargrove. Of course the guys find out about each other at some party and Val loses them both. Noah moves on to Donna, so Val cooks up a scheme to pretend to date David, hoping that Noah will be so jealous that he'll come back to Val. That doesn't work but V and D get back together. But N and V are still jealous of D and D's friendship. Noah's bro comes to town and is a walking pharmacy. The brother Josh tries to date-rape Val by putting a drug in her drink. His plan goes horribly wrong and Val ends up sleeping with Noah, who does not know Val is drugged. When Val wakes up she realizes she's been drugged and thinks Noah raped her. David stands by V but everyone else thinks Val made up the whole thing. At the trial, it is proven that Val was in fact drugged and Noah is charged. Donna then finds that the drug was Josh's and not Noah's, so Noah is off the hook. Val and Noah talk it out and decide that only the brother is to blame. Val's mom comes to town and starts dating Kelly's dad. Val is upset and admits to David why she hates her mom: she was molested by the father. Val's mom and Kelly's dad don't get married, much to everyone's relief. Val goes to David's high school reunion and bonds with Kelly over being known as sluts in high school. Val has a chance to donate bone marrow but refuses when she finds out the cancer patient is a child molester. Shortly thereafter, David dumps Val. A devastated Val sleeps with a sleazy photographer, no condom. Val finds out that he's a drug user and HIV positive. She freaks out and gets tested with David by her side. The season ends with her at the doc's office waiting for the results.

Season 9: Val is HIV negative and decides to be truthful with everyone. She is brutally honest and makes her friends mad. David gets fed up and confronts her about why she acts so meanly. Val admits that it's because she blames herself for her father's abuse and death. She reveals that he did not commit suicide; she killed him. In Vegas, Val sleeps with her mom's new fiance. The mom gets married, but the marriage is immediately annulled since the fiance wants Val. Val admits to her mom what she did and explains that her sexual abuse as a child is what makes her do such stupid things. Val also comes clean about killing the dad. The mom admits that she knew that Val was being abused and claims she told him to get help, for all the good that did. Val is tired of feeling dirty and afraid and thinks the only way she can feel better is by confessing her crime to the police. At the last minute, her mom stops her and admits that Val was not to blame for anything and that the mom should have done something to protect her. For Thanksgiving, Val invites the gang over for dinner. Kelly finds out that Val told Brandon not to marry her, and goes behind Val's back and invites everyone to the beach apartment. Val is terribly hurt. David tells Kelly about Val's abuse, so K feels bad and brings everyone back to the Walsh house to celebrate. In spite of the happy ending, Val has decided it would be best for her to go live with her mom. She leaves the show on Thanksgiving, minutes before Dylan reappears.

Hope this helps! I apologize for the delay--I did not get the original email.

Hi. 90210 is my absolute favorite show. I watch it at least twice a day, have my favorite episodes on tape, and can answer any question anyone has about the plot lines. Valerie, Brenda, and David are my favorite characters. I have met few people who love the show as much as I do. 90210 has been my salvation after a hard day, a way to kill boredom, and just pure pleasure. If you are curious about the character`s lives or little tidbits, feel free to ask me. I`ve been known to help people win trivia contests.
